Hi! My name is Allison and I’m a registered holistic nutritionist, weight loss specialist, and hormone fixer-upper. My passion lies in helping and educating women through their wellness journey. With my personal and professional experience, I truly understand the importance of nourishing the body with nutrient dense whole foods while maintaining a life of balance and a positive relationship with food. Nutrition really is the foundation of health, which is why I work one on one with clients to customize lifestyle, food, and supplement plans. The path to wellness is complex and I’m here to guide you through it!

My Journey

I didn’t realize I needed to improve my relationship with food, or that I even had some type of relationship with food until I was in my late teens. Growing up, I was always significantly overweight. At a very young age, I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes, high cholesterol, and hypothyroidism. I knew it was time to take control of my health. I began changing my eating habits and modifying my lifestyle and over a 3-year period I had lost around 100 pounds. This was very liberating, yet I didn’t realize my relationship with food had become damaged. I was unable to enjoy foods without fear, shame, and guilt. This leads to a vicious cycle of fad dieting, food restricting, and binge eating. My metabolism was destroyed, hormones out of whack, and I developed insulin resistance. It wasn’t until I was able to let go of this mentally and take charge of my health both physically, and mentally that I began to see changes. I had to learn that weight loss isn’t wasn’t as simple as calories in calories out. Severe cravings are most definitely a sign of hormonal imbalance. Digestive health isn’t as simple as cutting out all foods you enjoy, and coffee cannot be relied on to give you genuine energy throughout the day. Once I began healing in a holistic way, everything started coming together. My symptoms which had become my “normal” were no longer present. I saw my energy and sleep improve. I no longer had energy crashes in the afternoon followed by severe cravings, and I wasn’t waking up at 3 am night in and night out. My digestive concerns were at ease, I no longer felt bloated and achy after certain foods, and I finally began losing the weight my body had resisted letting go of for years. This is why I am so passionate about what I do. It’s such an honour when people let me into their lives, and I can help them take the steps needed in their own health journeys.
